If you are a young person

Every day we listen to young people. You tell us what life is like for you at school, at home, or at college. We hear your stories. We understand that life is very different for you all, so we never say we have heard it all before, but we have heard lots of things. Your life is unique to you, regardless of your life situation it might feel easy, or it might feel hard.

You tell us that you worry, are anxious, stressed, upset, and confused. We know you have missed out on seeing your friends and families during lockdown, that you might miss your biological families if you are in foster care or are adopted. We understand that you worry about what you look like, who fancies you, who you fancy, what your sexual identity is, and we know some young people are struggling with their gender identity.

Some of you may ‘self-harm’ or ‘self-injure’ to manage some of these feelings. This might be cutting, scratching, hitting walls, using drugs or alcohol, and sometimes if things feel unmanageable you might feel suicidal. These are all things that we can help you with. There is always a better solution. Coming to cherry pie can help you to find the solutions that work for you.
